Getting started!
Where
to find material to comment on a grammar topic
There
are innumerous websites you can look for examples of the grammar in use. You
can google for an expression – remember to use quotes (“”) to narrow down your
search. In case you do not have a computer available or have been having
problems with your computer, you can use
one of ACBEU’s computers available at the Multimedia Library. But remember, It
is mandatory that you indicate the source of the material in the following
fashion:
Author. "Title of Web
Page." Title of the Site. Editor. Date and/or Version Number. Name
of Sponsoring Institution. Date of Access <URL>.
Example:
Sherman, Chris.
"Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About URL." SearchEngineWatch.
Ed. Danny Sullivan. 24 Aug. 2004. 4 Sept. 2004.

Washington (CNN) -- The United States is contributing
an estimated $4.5 million worth of firefighting equipment and other supplies to
help battle massive wildfires in Russia, according to the Obama administration.

We use the present progressive (or present continuous)
for something that is happening now. (this is the
explanation according to the grammar notes in the textbook)
CNN.
